I'm almost done with my latest Relief print. A halloween scene of two skeletons working together to cave a light up a pumpkin. I have some videos scheduled showing the process and ideas around the print. Those will be out soon or if you check they might already be out. More information on how to get one of these prints will also be soon, I want to have them ready to ship at least by October 1st.
I have an orange and green paper ordered for these prints, And the ink will be black. First time trying colored paper with printing, but I think these will be really cool. And a perfect Halloween artwork to hang around the spooky season.
I took some of my old watercolor drawings and printed them out at Wallgreens. I don't know if they have the best printers for that, but the prints were on a satin paper and they look good. The images might need sharpened before I print agian. The colors and the piant marks look good. And with the frames they look like a professional little artwork.
I think im going to test this a little more and strat selling my art like this. Some of my faivote pieces could have little prints like these, maybe bigger ones for specific ones. These are actually cheep to have done so sell them for not that much. And these artworks would be accessible to more people. And of course I would sell originals and reilef prints for people that want the look and feel of higher quality art.
Working on this massive drawing of Cathedral rock located in Sedona Arizona. I'm recording lots of video clips for some process videos. I want to get halfway with the drawing between uploading those.
First I'm sketching the scene with a focus on the shapes and shadows. I'm using several photos from my trip as reference.
And I photoshopped a composition with multiple images to create the exact scene I want. I'm also using the grid method due to the size, and wanting the sketch to be as accurate as possible.
The next step will be the linework. I haven't decided if I want to use a dip pen and gray ink. Or just use my black multi-liner pens. But I will go over the sketch and focus on adding texture and trace what's already down. Lastly will be the coloring, which will be a massive project on its own. I'll show progression as I continue.
